Genius Loci Krkonoš

From the original radio building, we retained two floors and designed a new building divided into two optically separate buildings, which are approaching smaller buildings in the surrounding buildings. The proportions and orientation of the ridge of these buildings honor the principles typical of the classic Giant Mountains. The honest material solution of the house was also essential for us. On the lower floor we kept the original tiles of local stone. Two different wooden facade tiles emphasize the division of two buildings. The resulting object naturally complements the scattered development in the surroundings and underlines the genius loci that we love so much. Labor13 Architects
